How to claim your prize on luckladder

Prize claimed confirmation after winning a Toyota MR2 Turbo competition on luckladder

This guide covers what happens after you enter a draw and win — from the automated draw to confirming you have the prize. We use a Toyota MR2 Turbo raffle as the example; the same flow applies to any reserve-met draw.

Before you start

  • Sign in with the same luckladder account you used to buy tickets. Claims are tied to your account.
  • You do not need to actually physically watch the draw live. When the countdown ends, luckladder runs the draw automatically. You will get an email if you win.
  • Keep an eye on the email address linked to your account. You will get an email when the draw finishes, and again at each step: winner notification, claim instructions, and confirmation once you are done.
  • Do not confirm receipt until you have the prize. Only enter your verification code on luckladder once prize handover is complete and the prize is in your hands.
  • Never share your verification code. You and the host each get your own code by email. Do not swap codes with each other or anyone else.

1. The draw runs automatically

When the countdown on the competition page hits zero, or every ticket sells, luckladder queues the draw. You do not need to be on the page. You will get an email if you win. The draw usually finishes within a few seconds, but it can take a couple of minutes during busy periods.

2. You won

If you are the winner, you will get an email telling you straight away. Open it and follow the instructions inside.

The competition page will also show Congratulations! You Won with a claim countdown. You do not need to check the page. The email has what you need to get started.

You can also check status any time from Entered Competitions in your account menu.

3. Read your winner email

Open your winner email. It gives you the host's contact details and your personal eight-digit verification code.

The code is only for you. Do not share it with the host or anyone else. Sharing it can result in forfeiture of the prize.

4. Arrange handover with the host

Use the contact details in your email to arrange collection or delivery of the prize with the host. Do this as early as you can. You have 90 days from the draw to confirm receipt on luckladder.

The host gets their own email with their side of the process. You do not need their code, and they do not need yours.

5. Confirm receipt on luckladder

Once the prize is in your hands, open the claim link in your email. You can also go to the competition page and click Claim your prize!. Sign in if prompted.

Enter your eight-digit verification code, tick I acknowledge that I have received my prize, accept the terms, and hit Submit prize claim.

Only do this when you actually have the prize. The host cannot claim their payout until you confirm.

6. Leave a review (optional)

After you submit your claim, you may see a short prompt asking how your experience was with the host. A quick review helps other players find trustworthy hosts. You can submit a rating or click Not now to skip it.

7. Prize claimed

And you're done! You will see a confirmation that your prize has been claimed, and you will get a follow-up email confirming receipt. The host can now claim their ticket-sale payout on their side.

What if the reserve wasn't met?

Hosts can set a reserve, a minimum number of tickets that must sell before the physical prize is awarded. If the draw runs but the reserve was not met, you still win, but you are due a cash alternative equal to the gross prize pool instead of the physical prize.

In that case your email explains the cash amount and asks you to claim your payout on luckladder. You will need a verified payout account so we can send the money to your bank. The flow uses the payout claim page rather than the prize claim page, but the same rules apply: follow the email, keep your verification code private, and claim before the deadline.

If ticket sales were so low that the cash alternative falls below our minimum transferable amount, entrants are refunded instead. You would receive a separate email explaining the refund.

Claim deadlines and support

  • Every claim has an expiry date. The countdown on the competition page and the deadline in your email are the same. Do not leave it to the last day. You may forfeit the prize if you do not arrange handover and confirm receipt before the deadline.
  • If you cannot reach the host or you think the claim will expire before you can arrange handover, contact us at info@luckladder.com.
  • Report any message claiming to be from a winner or host that did not come through luckladder or the email address shown in your notification.
